We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and/or industrial settings. This role includes supervisory responsibilities of union personnel and participation in project management, bidding and cost estimation. The ideal candidate will ensure all electrical work complies with relevant codes and safety standards while delivering high-quality workmanship and leadership.
We seek a team player with proven ability to effectively and efficiently plan and complete our commercial and high-end residential jobs.

Electrical Installation and Maintenance
  • Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Interprets blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical schematics.
  • Installs and maintains electrical control systems and lighting systems.
  • Inspects electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers.
  • Identifies electrical problems using testing devices.
  • Repairs or replaces wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
  • Ensures that all work complies with local and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
  • Maintains accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Provides excellent customer service and professional communication.
  • Documents work by completing paperwork including labor records, materials used and resolutions in accordance with company standards on each job and maintaining files in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Communicates regularly with administrative team on activities and work.
  • Keeps all current manufacturers' products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair documentation.
  • Provides technical support to customers and fellow team members.
  • Attends additional training offered by manufacturers and in-house personnel.
  • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory & Management Duties
  • Supervises and coordinates the work of apprentice and journeyman electricians.
  • Assigns tasks and monitors and project progress to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Provides training, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Enforces workplace safety standards and conducts safety briefings.
  • Coordinates with project managers, contractors, and clients.
  • Oversees inventory, tools, and equipment usage.
  • Assists with workforce scheduling and resource planning.
Estimating, Bidding and Project Management
  • Reviews project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Prepares and submits competitive project bids and proposals.
  • Performs material take-offs and labor calculations.
  • Evaluates project risks and develops cost-control strategies.
  • Communicates with suppliers to obtain pricing for materials and equipment.
  • Supports contract negotiations and scope clarification.
  • Works with internal/external team members as applicable; checks shop drawings, conducts site visits, etc. to effectively manage jobs and assists other Project Managers as needed.
  • Provides updates on work progress, costs, and scheduling to relevant stakeholders and team members.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to safely maintain a high level of performance while working independently in the field and perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education, Licenses and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid, active Master electrician license from the state of RI required and willing to transfer to Aero Mechanical, Inc.
  • 2+ years of proven experience as an electrician.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and safety procedures. Experience with large-scale residential, commercial, or industrial electrical systems and managing small to mid-sized electrical projects.
  • In this role, membership in UA local 99 is required. 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of estimating software helpful.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy systems (e.g., solar installations) is preferred.
  • First Aid/CPR certification helpful.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
